​Alexa received her Bachelors in Fine Arts and a Masters in Clinical Social Work, both from New York University. Her post-graduate training, studies and practice have focused around trauma, grief and loss throughout life transitions. She has been a therapist for adolescents, adults, couples and families for 25 years.

Alexa's clinical work began with supporting women and couples through the grief and anxiety of miscarriage, infertility, and assisted reproduction after experiencing inadequate support during her own repeated and late-term pregnancy losses.
She developed her practice to help women reconnect with and trust their bodies following trauma, illness, divorce, and loss. She works with clients healing from body disconnection caused by avoidant coping strategies, including disordered eating, compulsive exercise, and substance abuse or addiction. Alexa integrates self-compassion, Brainspotting, parts work, and contemplative and interoceptive practices to address grief, anxiety, depression, body image challenges, and post-traumatic stress.

Alexa works with individuals facing chronic or terminal diagnoses and provides grief counseling to families navigating loss or the anticipated loss of a loved one and/or a major life change. She completed Foundations training at the Zen Center for Contemplative Care and is a Certified Grief Educator by David Kessler.
In 2023, Alexa completed a year-long program with the Integrative Psychiatry Institute (IPI) and graduated as a Certified Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapist. She uses psychedelic-assisted and transpersonal psychotherapy to address depression, existential distress, grief, loss, trauma, and end-of-life. She currently collaborates with Journey Clinical as a Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapist.

Alexa's practice currently centers on helping people navigate challenging intimate relationships, separations, and divorce with clarity and integrity. She supports clients in exploring attachment patterns, regulating their nervous systems, finding their voice, and rebuilding their lives.
She is certified as a High Conflict Divorce Coach/Consultant, Mediator (with specialized training in Marital Mediation), and Parenting Coordinator. Her extensive training and experience enable her to guide divorcing parents through conflict and separation while prioritizing children's developmental and attachment needs in all decisions and negotiations.

As both a psychotherapist and long-time yoga and meditation teacher, Alexa takes a holistic view of mental health and wellness that encompasses the whole person—physically, cognitively, emotionally, and spiritually. She founded Yoga Sol, a community yoga studio in Westchester, NY (now closed), and currently teaches professional continuing education trainings with Little Flower Yoga. Her teaching focuses on using yoga to regulate the nervous system and foster emotional regulation, body awareness, body acceptance, and resilience in children and adults.. 

Alexa sees adults, couples and families in Peekskill New York and virtually through a HIPAA compliant server.
She is a NY State Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Grief Educator, Certified Grief Counseling Specialist, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, Certified High Conflict Divorce Coach, Certified Mediator, Parenting Coordinator, and a Certified Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy Provider.
