In the best of circumstances, divorce is a stressful and life-altering event- it can feel like a tsunami when it is high-conflict. The separation/ divorce process can be deeply traumatic, especially when there is a concern about the safety of children, a history of domestic abuse or coercive control, substance abuse and/or cluster B personality disorders. Learning how to keep emotions regulated and prioritize self-care are both critical when negotiating with an ex-partner,
as well as co-parenting.
Alexa studied with Tina Swithin and One Mom's Battle. She runs periodic 'divorce groups' and works with women individually who are navigating through the grief of divorce while experiencing the trauma of leaving an abusive or controlling relationship and/or a high conflict negotiation.
Alexa offers an experienced and safe space to process the trauma, understand destructive relationship patterns and crystalize what is most important moving forward through all steps of this challenging process- while setting the foundation for resilience, healing and growth.
